Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

Hey everyone! I hope you all are having a wonderful, romantic day filled with lots of warm fuzzies! I am not....only because we celebrated our v-day on Friday! It was so fabulous and special. I posting a few pics for you to see. We went to one of our very favorite restaurants....Millie's! It was delicious. Then we went for a walk downtown and stopped by the Mudhouse and got a cozy cup of joe. Oh and the best part.......Tim got us tickets to see Carrie Underwood at the Q!! Wowza! I am so very excited. I have always loved her since Idol and this might be my only chance to see her in concert ever! I never listen to country music, but she is one talented lady. I do have all of her CDs! hehe! I got Tim an hour massage at Grove Spa. He has been wanting one really bad! So, he was very excited. I got him a few other things too. Overall, we had a very fun weekend. Tonight we have some of the youth boys coming over to stay the night since they are out of school tomorrow for presidents day. Hopefully it's not too crazy! haha! I hope you all have a great day and a great start to the week! Love you! xoxoxo

Biggest Loser and such

Happy Monday morning to each of you! I am feelin' great today! :) The weather is so lovely. Well, this Wednesday Tim weighs in at his work because he is going to particiapte in their company's version of Biggest Loser. And every pound they lose, the company will donate a pound of food to a food pantry. The reason Tim is so pumped is that the 1st place winner will get $600!!! Then 2nd place gets $500 and it goes down from there. When he walked into the meeting last week, he said he was by far the smallest person there, so he was feeling like he might not stand a chance at winning. But they are going off percentages like the show does. And we are thinking some people might give up because the challenge is 12 weeks long! Tim is the most competitive person I know....and he REALLY wants the $600 dollars (i told him he could buy a tv with it) we won't spend our regular money on a tv....so this is his chance! I have this feeling he will place in the top 3 spots. So, you can help me encourage him to give it all he's got! haha! Last night I was working on my dinner list for this week. And I realllllly need to go to the grocery store! I have a few new recipes I am going to try this week. I enjoy trying new recipes out. Hopefully they are a success! Hope everyone has a wonderful day! loves! xoxo

New year....freezing cold house! :(

Happy New Year friends! Well, today I am sitting on my couch, wrapped up in several blankets with the warmth of a space heater hitting my feet. Why? Our little house is only 54 degrees! Oh house! Why do you do this to us? Thursday....during the coldest week of the year....our house decided to quit heating. It got down to 34ish! Thankfully we were able to bunk with my parents for a few days! Thank you mom and dad! What a blessing. The heating guy came to the house Friday to check things out. Lots of words I don't understand....but anyway....we only have to pay around $90. I think that is a bargain. Now, we are just waiting for it to warm up. He said it was going to take awhile because it is so cold this week. I am very, very, very thankful for heat!!! Hmmmm...what else is new? Tim is LOVING day shift! He is truly enjoying it. He loves his job and is very good at it too. We are gearing up for TOC next week! whoohoo! It is a tradition. Tim and I have been going since we were just a little dating couple. It will be especially exciting this year because Hillcrest is in it and we get to watch our Thomas and Luke! Go boys! Well, I guess that is all for now. Everyone stay WARM! I am trying! I thought I would leave you with a few pics to enjoy for the past few weeks. xoxo

Joy to the World!!!!!!!!!!

It's almost Christmas everyone! Yipeee! My favorite time of year for so many reasons! Most of all, I love celebrating what Christ has done for me personally and for the entire world if they will just accept his gift. I love being chill and relaxing with my fam. I love baking! I LOVE the decorations! I love singing carols and Christmas songs! It's all so special and magical! I hope everyone enjoys this weekend to the fullest!!!! Tonight I will finish up wrapping some gifts. Tomorrow, I will be baking a homemade red velvet cake for our Christmas Eve supper! (hoping that all goes well! haha!) I'm so happy that my hubby is off with me Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! But then he's back at it Saturday and Sunday. He switches to day shift next week.....Praise the Lord!!!!! The Lord has truly been with us during this time....it really hasn't been that bad. I am thankful! I pray that you all have a very special holiday and praying that we all get to share the love and gift of JESUS to someone this Christmas! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!!!! xoxo

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! I am so looking forward to having a few days off this week. yay! I love Thanksgiving time...for many reasons. Yummy food, time with family, rest, the start of Christmas, but most of all, I love reflecting on the blessings in my life and the goodness of God. 2009 has been a very challenging year for us...but I have been able to draw closer to the Lord through everything. Good and Bad! A few things I recall off the top of my head....my kidney stone, tim's skin cancer scare, career changes (and everything that goes along with that!). However, I got through my kidney stone, Tim has no cancer to be found, and Tim got a new job and will be getting day shift at the first of the year! PRAISE THE LORD!!! Those are just the main things that just jump out to me first. Through those tough times, there were way more good times! We have found the Lord to be faithful in all times...in every season. I am so in love with my sweet hubby and love how he LOVES and serves the Lord and LOVES me second. I love my family with all my heart, I love my home, I adore my puppy, I'm thankful for good health, I'm thankful that the Lord meets our financial needs, I love my church, I love working with teenagers and sharing Christ with them, I am thankful for my job, I am thankful for my good friends, I love love the little fun tidbits of life, and most of all I thank the Lord for saving me and completly changing my life! Finally, I am hitting a mile stone birthday this Saturday......25! Boohoo! That really makes me feel like I am an adult or something. I must say, I'm a little sad. But, I love birthdays! I hope you all have a blessed Thanksgiving! xoxo

Starbucks & Thrift Stores

Good Morning! I am sooooo sleepy! I have some coffee started, so hopefully soon I will get a jolt of energy! I had such a wonderful weekend! Friday, Tim took his small group to Incredible Pizza...and I got to tag along! :) It was so much fun and ruled on the skee ball machine! With mine and Tim's tickets combined, I won a insulated travel mug! haha! And it's pink! Then Saturday, I got to sleep in finally. It had been weeks since I last slept in. Next we got up and got a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks (another very special treat I don't get very often) and we went to the thrift store to look for Halloween costumes. We hit the jackpot and are pretty much all set for Halloween! I can't wait. After that we picked Kim up and went to Pets and Pumpkin Days on the historic part of Commercial street. It was a blast and the dogs behaved very well. Jade also met us there with Rusty. It was perfect weather. Sunday we had our choir concert in Salem. It was a long drive but it was a great concert. I'm ready for another week. It's going to busy at work. We serve a great God and I love Him soooooo much! I am working on my list of "10" and will be praying! I pray that I can be a light to someone today. Happy Monday to you guys! loves! xoxo
