If you really knew me….

If you really knew me…..

You would know that I am obsessed with my dog Maddie!  I was absolutely terrified that I wouldn’t want her after Eleanor came….but I’m still just as obsessed with her!  Whew.  Someone had told me while I was pregnant that once I had a baby I wouldn’t want my dog anymore.  Whatev.

You would know that I love the color pink!

You would know that I am a worry wart.  However, this is something that I am truly truly working on in my life.  I don’t want my problem with worry to rub off on my sweet Eleanor.  Plus, it’s just wrong!  See ya worry.

You would know that I love all things fruit.  Always have always will.  Call me weird. Thankfully, little girl clothes have all sorts of fruit prints and that makes my heart sing!

You would know that I always try to be outgoing, but I am a true homebody.  I would always pick staying at home over going out.  But Mr. Tim brings out my outgoing side.  We definitely compliment each other.

You would know that I love the Lord with all my heart!  I’m not perfect….and especially with the speed bump of motherhood….I’m always learning and growing.   I want to continue to grow closer to Him and grow during this new season of my life.

You would know that I hate having anyone see my house messy.  I like to fool people into thinking that my house is always clean.  Again my hubby is the complete opposite!  He doesn’t mind letting people come over no matter what the house looks like!!!!

You would know that my dream is to have a little family business.  Something like a bakery, flower shop, boutique or a photography biz.  I have such passion for creative things!

You would know that I don’t have enough confidence in myself to ever step out and start my own business.

You would know that I love to look nice and have my makeup pretty, nails done, cute clothes etc.  But you would also know that hate spending money on myself, so I make due with what I have most of the time.

You would know that I love me some soda!!! You would also know that after being pregnant and now breastfeeding, I have dramatically limited my soda intake for my health and E’s health.  I still love it though.  I just enjoy it more when I do have it!

You would know that I consider breastfeeding to be one of my greatest accomplishments in life!  You might think I’m crazy if breastfeeding was easy peasy for you.  (lucky you!)  But everyday I am thankful that I kept going when I really really really wanted to quit during those first weeks.  It is easy now and I can hardly remember how hard it was for me at the beginning.  It’s kind of like pregnancy and labor right?  Women forget the pain, and keep having more kids!

You would know that I love my husband with all my heart!!!!!

You would know that I laugh during the parts of movies that no one else laughs at.

You would know that I love to laugh.

You would know that I don’t like driving on highways.

You would know that I love hosting and I wish I had a bigger house because I would host all the time!

You would know that I am a holiday nut!!!!!!  I love decorating for every holiday no matter how big or small.  I am so excited to decorate E’s room for the holidays!

I hope you enjoyed getting to know me better!

Amanda

A beautiful 7 years….

wed

Monday was our 7 year anniversary!!!!

7 years sounds like such a long time.  But honestly it feels like the blink of an eye.  If you asked us, we would tell you we still feel like newlyweds!

Life goes by so fast, I often forget that I am in my late twenties (boo!), I’m not a newlywed anymore and I’m an actual adult.

With that being said….I love exactly where I am at!  I have an incredible husband!!!!  And this year a precious 3 month old to celebrate with us.  Oh and I can’t forget our first born….Maddie.

God has been so good to us.

So I wanted to reminisce a little bit….

This was husband and I in our very first house.

Happy 2 Months Peanut!!!!

DSCN6702

Our little peanut is growing!!!!!  Each day I feel like she looks different and bigger……and it makes my heart hurt a little bit.  I LOVE watching her grow.  But it just hurts seeing how fast it is going by and thinking about her getting married someday.  Okay….I know I’m getting out of hand!  ha!

DSCN6712

At two months Eleanor weighs around 9 lbs 15 oz!  She has really put on the weight!

E can wear newborn or size 1 diapers.  We recently ran out of newborn diapers and had some size 1’s on hand.  So, we have made those work.  We have found out her little body doesn’t wear Huggies very well.  She would pee and poop out of almost every huggie we put on her.

She has pooped in her bouncy seat, swing, carseat…..you name it!  This one’s a pooper!

DSCN6726

Eleanor still wears all newborn clothes.  We try to put some 0-3 month on her if they look smallish.  Sadly, most of her 0-3 clothes are summer clothes….so she is hardly going to get to wear any of them.  Unless she gets really cubby FAST!  I guess that’s what happens when your baby decides to come early!

E is eating really good!  We have stuck with breastfeeding and it has only gotten better!  I’m so thankful I didn’t give up.  I wanted to give up soooooo many times in the first month.  When E takes a bottle, she will eat about 3 oz.

Eleanor’s Likes:

*The swing!  (finally!!!!!  we thought she would never like it!)

*Her singing, glowing seahorse!  That thing is like magic I tell you!

*Her zoo play gym.  She will lay under it for a long time.

*Eating

*Sitting up against something or someone.  She LOVES looking around!

*Shopping!  We started early…..it was bound to happen.

*Sucking her fists.

Eleanor’s Dislikes:

*Tummy time!  Ugh….we try so hard.  But she hates it.

*The crib!!!!!  -sigh-

Other than that she is a really happy camper!  She is starting to smile sooooo much!  It just melts my heart!

Sweet Memories:

*E starting to sleep through the night!!!!!  wahooooooo!  This happened the week I went back to work.  Thank you sweet girl….it made it so much easier on mommy!

*E’s first time wearing her swimsuit!  We actually never made it in the water because she had herself a little meltdown. :) But she still looked the part!

*E went to her first youth camp at our church!  She heard a lot of preaching and some really loud worship music!  She was a trooper.  I only worried about the loud music hurting her ears a few times. haha!

*E went to the sitter for the first time as mommy went back to work!!!!!!!  ahhhhhh!  I thought this was going to be awful, but we both handled it really well.  She loves the sitters (she is an awesome Christian woman!) and it’s only 2 days a week!  I get the best of both worlds.

*E celebrated her first 4th of July!  She was styling in and adorable patriotic dress.

*Went to her first wedding!

*Went to the zoo!

*Went to a recording studio!

*Went to the church nursery for the first time!  She did amazing and never cried!  yay!

Ok….now check out the difference 1 month makes!!!!!!!!!  She looks SOOOO different!

We love our baby girl so much!  Everyday is such a joy and so special.  We continually thank the Lord for giving Eleanor to us.  We love telling her about Jesus even though she doesn’t understand yet.  It will be our joy to teach her everyday of her life!

Sometimes I have to pinch myself.

I’m a momma!!!!!

Thank you Lord!

Eleanor goes to the zoo!

DSCN6583

Eleanor took her first trip to the zoo!!!!

I was so very excited!  We went with my mom and my two adorable nephews!

DSCN6580

Just look at those precious boys!  Love them!

DSCN6590

We were totally lovin in at the beginning of our zoo trip….but then it started getting HOT!  And our zoo has a ridiculous amount of hills you have to hike up.  We decided to go see the elephants and had to haul it up this long hill….in the heat….pushing strollers.  haha!  It probably wouldn’t have been too bad….but that was my first form of exercise since my c-section!  It was killer.  I felt sad that I was so out of shape.  But I know I am on my way to getting back to normal.

DSCN6603

My favorite animal was the kangaroos!!!!  Oh it was precious.  The momma was sitting next to her baby!

I love documenting all of Eleanor’s first things!  And I definitely won’t forget her first trip to the zoo!  haha!  I can’t wait to go again when it’s a little cooler, I’m in a little better shape….and Eleanor knows what’s going on!  ha!

Happy Friday everyone!

Hugs!

Amanda
