I’m going on a cruise…..ok not really….

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m extra happy today because after work today begins our “babymoon”!  Oh yeah.  We are not actually going anywhere like Vegas or New York…..but we are taking some time off, to work on our house and Eleanor’s room!!!!!!  Oh yeah….and to rest.  That is pretty important too.  :)  If we had more cash I would be high tailing it to a cruise or something.  But all of our money is going to E’s nursery or savings.

We plan to make our week together very special and I’m soooooo looking forward to it!  ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!  Okay, I just had to let that out.

Any random ideas for us?

-I want to get up early one morning and go to breakfast at our favorite place.

-I want to make Eleanor a Build A Bear.

-I want to deep clean my entire house!!!!!!  Can you say nesting?

-If the weather is lovely, I want to go on a picnic and do nothing but eat and lay in my hubby’s arms.  *sigh*

Send me your babymoon ideas!!!!!  We have a whole week together! :o)

(oh yeah….ideas that are relatively cheap!)

*Insert random picture of my HOT husband and adorable Maddie.*

I am so jazzed today.  (yes i said jazzed…..)

Obviously because babymoon is starting in 7ish hours, but also because I have been having the best Bible study with my college girls from church!  It has been so so good.  We are doing the study Duty or Delight?  By Tammie Head.  Has anyone else done it?

I am personally getting so much from this study and the college girls are also.  We have been having such great conversations!

Last night we talked about being satisfied in God.  And if we really understood just how much He LOVES us…..how different we would live.  We talked about being hungry for God’s Word just like someone who hasn’t had a meal in weeks.  Wow!  When you really think about that….it blows your mind.  Am I really that hungry for God’s Word?  Where am I finding my satisfaction in this life?  Your satisfaction can’t be found in your husband, boyfriend or children.  It can’t be found in your church or career.

So today I am thinking about how….

#1  I AM CHOSEN

“For He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight.”  Ephesians 1:4

#2   I AM REDEEMED

“We have redemption in Him through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.”  Ephesians 1:7-8

I hope you know just how much God loves YOU too!

Be satisfied in Him today.

With Love,

Amanda

Have fun together!! Seriously-soak up every moment alone with your hubby until Eleanor gets here! You will look back and miss it someday. My hubby and I made a build a bear for our daughter too before she was born and it was so much fun!!

Enjoy your Babymoon! No advice for what to do, but just soak up the time with Tim! I haven't heard of that study before, but talk about making me feel convicted just reading that! I know I need to be more hungry for Him. Thanks for that reminder!

That study sounds awesome!!! I was just reading in Romans this morning about being chosen and it just made me feel so blessed! What a blessing to your life to get to minister to those girls, but also get something out of it for YOUR life!
I am so jealous of your babymoon!! Fun! Definitely get as much done in the nursery as you can-it feels SOOOO good when you have it all done. One thing I might suggest along the lines of cleaning your whole house is finding a place for EVERYTHING so that keeping your house tidy when Eleanor comes along will be easier. I have been so glad I took the time to do that! :)
I think you should go to an afternoon movie! :) We did that a few times while I was pregnant and it was so fun.
Oh, and you almost certainly need to go out for ice cream or froyo :) Have a blast!

Yay, have fun on your babymoon! We didn't go anywhere or anything, but just considered the last several weekends our "babymoon". Ha! We hope to take a fun weekend trip for memorial day for our anniversary. Have fun working on E's room! Just enjoy your time together. :)
